BRDM 1 - 9P122/SAGGER A light, armored personnel carrier BRDM (Bronirovannaya, Razvyedivatyelno-Dozornaya Mashina) was designed in Soviet Union in 1957. Its main aims were transport of small groups of infantry, combat areas reconnaissance (including detection of nuclear and chemical pollutions), infantrys support and others. The BRDM was used with almost all Warsaw’s Pact armies and widely sold abroad. BRDM, due to its versatility, was used as a platform for different types of specialized anti-aircraft and anti-tank armament. One of these is a tank destroyer version equipped with 9P122 launcher with six 9M14 Malyutka (AT-3 Sagger) wire guided missiles.
