BTR 50PK Armo

The BTR-50P armored personnel carrier was designed in Soviet Union at the early 1950s. The base of design was an undercarriage (2S1 type), which was almost without change adopted from PT-76 light tank. The space acquired after deleting the gun turret was converted into crew compartment for sixteen soldiers. The vehicle had uncovered crew compartement, though the fuselage is fully enclosed in version PK and further. BTR-50PK’s main aims are reconnaissance, troops’ delivery and support. BTR-50PK was used with almost all Warsaw Pact armies and sold to several other countries.
